About Mia Volo Books
Mia Volo Books began at a kitchen table, with a grandmother who wanted her grandchildren to meet the real Stone Age — not a cartoon of it. She had spent years reading about how early people actually lived: how they found water, made fire, and learned the land by watching it. So she started writing the stories she wished existed — warm, accurate, and unhurried — and drawing the world of Kavi and his family one page at a time.
Every book is made the slow way, by hand, for children who are ready to be treated as capable.

Our mission
To give homeschooling families early-history picture books with real substance — honest, warm, and grounded in how people actually lived — so a child’s first sense of the past is curiosity, not caricature.
